This "How to Guide" and Accommodation Request template serve as guides for parents and caregivers with students in public schools across Canada. Organized in an easy to use manner, the accommodation request helps parents/caregivers/students to articulate their religious needs clearly to educators.

Doing the Right Thing is a federally-funded curriculum resource designed to help students think deeply about things that we all experience as Canadians, and introduces complex issues around recognizing our past mistakes and trying, or not, to make up for them – as individuals, as communities, and as Canadians.
The 2023 Canadian Standing Committee on Human Rights report includes 13 recommendations based on witness testimony, data, and calls to action from Muslim communities. While there is no single solution to the complex problem of Islamophobia, the committee’s recommendations are designed to ensure that Muslims are empowered to live, work, and pray in safety, on an equal basis with all Canadians.
The 2024 Report of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights highlights 15 recommendations to combat Islamophobia in Canada, drawing from recommendations, commitments, and government response to the 2023 report.
NCCM has built resources to combat hate through education. They have led the way in ensuring the adoption of anti-Islamophobia strategies at the Peel District School Board (Ontario) and in the Province of Manitoba.
